Roll with it

Today May 7th we took the bus from Bilbao back to San Sebastian and then to the Airport outside San Sebastian where we supposed to pick up a car to take us to Hondarribia.  This is a little town right on the north east border with France.  We arrived at the Hertz counter at the Hondarribia Airport at 1:35 PM this afternoon.  Unfortunately the Hertz counter closed 5 minutes before we arrived.  All the rental companies were gone.  No choice but to take a cab to the hotel which was only a few miles away.  We've bumped into this problem a number of times in the past, both in Italy and in France.  Being from the US we are not use to companies or offices being closed during normal business hours.  Really closed at 1:30 on Saturday???  On previous vacation's Linda had a saying,  "If Matt wants to go there, they must be closed."  Timing is critical over here.  I don't get it but we have to deal with it.  Not a big deal, just a curve ball.
