Our private lunch at Planeta Winery

I think one of the best winery's in all of Sicily is Planeta.  Planeta has about 5 different wineries in Sicily specializing in different grape varities.   Luckily the oldest on (Ulmo) it's just outside of Sambuca.  We setup a private lunch there.  The people were fantasic.  One of the people spent a good 1  1/2 hrs only with us, giving us the tour and talking about things.  Of course her name was Maggio.  It was fantastic.  We even got to meat 2 of the owners who were very nice and spoke very good English.

The 4 wines we had for lunch.  La Segreta (white), Mt. Etna. (from one of their new wineries near Mt. Etna, Santa Cecilia (Nero d'Avola), and Burdese (A bordeaux style).  All were great

Pasta with zuccini and a mint pesto  Buonissimo!

Involtini Siciliana - scallops of pork stuffed with bread crumbs, cheese and rasins.  Little cherry tomatoe salad with sauted green and red peppers. Wonderful
