Our new Sicilian friends

In Sant Ambrogio we are staying at the home of Signore Francico (the guitar player), and Signora Maria (the bread maker), and Jim (the baker).  They have a beautiful stone room separated from the main house, with a great little terrace overlooking the Sea, Casa Sollevante.  On our second to the last day in Sant Ambrosio in the morning Maria had just made bread and Pizza and they were in the process of getting the oven heated up to bake it.  Francisco say's they make bread twice a week.  The next day they presented us with a loaf of this fantastic home made bread.  It was incredible.  They were great.  The morning we were leaving we had a discussion for about 20 minutes until we finally had to leave, so that we could get to our prearranged lunch at the Planeta winery.  They were fantastic people, so friendly and so generous.  A great experience.
