Gramercy Tavern

Another place located in the Flat Iron district.  A beautiful place with great service.  Here I had one of the best things on the trip. My appetizer which was Beef tartare.  It was made with (besides  the raw beef of course) whole bulgur wheat, whole pumpkin seeds, a raw quail egg and micro greens.  It was a little spicy and salty and all the bulgur and pumpkin seeds were a nice textural contrast to the softness of the beef.  "The best" beef tartare I ever had.  The service here was great but they did have a misstep.  Linda's pork loin came to the table tepid at best, not cold but not hot.  We sent it back.  I was a little surprised that they didn't remake it, they just reheated it.  Not quite what I was expecting for a $300 + meal.  But the beef tartare was fantastic.
