Why I write this

Snapshots are easy and today with everyone having a digital camera in the pocket all the time (smartphones), it's easy to take thousands on a trip.  Don't get me wrong, snapshots in time are great to have frozen moment of what things looked like when you were there.  That's great.  I found though that on our last trip to Italy the thing that was really important for me about the blog was being able to go back a year later and reread the snapshot of what you were thinking not just what you were looking at.  I suspect that years from now having these thought snapshots will be even more important.  I hope that others are able to enjoy this too.  I always return to how lucky we are to be able to travel and want to share these discoveries with others even if they are too food related for many.  So it's really for me but I hope you might enjoy it too.
