Le Bon Laboureur

Of course there was careful planning involved in planning our site seeing around Living to Eat.  Le Bon Laboureur is a one Michelin star restaurant 3 blocks from Chenonceau, and it did not disappoint.  The day was planned to finish up the day at Chenonceau, followed by a great meal at Le Bon Laboureur.
We started the meal with an Apertif of Kir (White wine and Chambord), we didn't know but the appertif cam with it's on amuse buce Amuse-bouche
Mackerel and Fennel, Cauliflower puree and olive tapenade, and blood sausage on green apple gelee and pastry crust.  Fantastic start.

Next we looked at the menu.  I chose the "Menu Gourmand", four courses including cheese.  Later to realize that it was really "Menu Gorge man".  A fantastic torture.  Linda chose the Menu Petite fame.
Beet puree, Langostines, Parsely Creme Quenelle

Quinoa and pickeled Onions, Cod, potatoes, on Dried tomatoe puree

Sea Bream with Zuccini

Lamb chop with pistachio crust, Zuccini spagetti, and chick pea squares

The cheese tray, 15 different cheeses and you could have as many as you like.  I love this place.

Poached pear with chocolate sauce, and vanilia ice cream

Cream puff with Chocolate mouse and raspberries
Cream puff with Pistachio mouse and raspberries
Cream puff with Vanilla mouse and raspberries.

The food, service and setting were great.  A fantastic end of the first day of our adventure in France.
